Since the 1990’s, Daisy and Marc Maison have been personally studying and collecting historicist paintings, precious decorative objects and richly carved French furniture from the second half of the 19th century. Today, they have decided to share their passion for the products of the highly creative era of the World Fairs. They are focused particularly on stylistic innovations of the Neo-Gothic to Art Nouveau styles, including the neo-Renaissance and Romantic periods. More interested in creations than in high quality reproductions of period pieces, they actively seek works of the likes of Fourdinois, Grohé, Barbedienne, Beurdeley, Dasson, Linke or Sormani, which they acquire along side the Architectural Antiques that they have specialized in for twenty five years. They are equally passionate about the works of Edouard Lièvre (1825-1886), the most important French designer of the second half of the 19th century, the works of Rivart they are collecting since years on which they published a book in 2012.

The works we present have been thoroughly researched, the documents providing a better understanding. Indeed, by studying the World’s Fair catalogues we have realized that there are thousands of objects to discover. The Fairs in London in 1851 and 1867, and the Fairs of 1855, 1878, 1889 and 1900 in Paris are a source of knowledge for Marc and Daisy and guide them in their purchases.

A vast selection of French antiques from the 19th century made by the most famous craftsmen, which will appeal to an international clientele as well as collectors and museums. On a more personal touch, Marc, Daisy and their family, all lovers of Art History, live on a daily basis in an Second Empire atmosphere inspired and surrounded by their different acquisitions.
